JOB SUMMARY

The custodian is responsible for providing custodial services to outbound retail locations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform basic custodial duties in an efficient and effective manner.
• Provide timely and excellent customer service.
• Provide input regarding inventory needs.
• Ensure Safety Data Sheets are available for all cleaning chemicals.
• Observe proper safety precautions in use of equipment and supplies to include proper labeling of all chemicals.
• Operate janitorial equipment such as automatic scrubber, burnisher and carpet extractor.
• Meet or exceed the attendance expectations for this position.
• Actively maintain a safe, healthy, and positive environment that promotes the physical and emotional well-being of employees, customers, and participants.
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred
• Six (6) months custodial experience preferred

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• None

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Must be able to use equipment and chemicals in a safe manner
• Possess an understanding of Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
• Must have a thorough knowledge of proper cleaning procedures

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Medium

Lifting 70 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds

Occasionally exposed to extreme atmospheric conditions (temperature, noise fumes, dust, etc.)
