The Groundskeeper is responsible for the daily upkeep of the property grounds to ensure an aesthetically-pleasing curb appeal and overall look of the property. This includes on-going cleaning and removal of trash from buildings and grounds to maintain the highest standard of service, cleanliness, and safety.

• Demonstrates Company Core Values.
• Responsible for the daily/on-going tasks required to maintain the landscape and grounds; removal of trash/debris, upkeep of flower beds, plants and trees and routine seasonal clean-up functions.
• Safe operation of gas-powered equipment used in general landscape and grounds maintenance.
• Responsible for snow and ice removal on sidewalks, and other specified areas using shovels, snowblowers, ice melt spreader and other equipment by specified times.
• Assists with apartment prep processes to include routine demolition and removal of abandoned furniture and personal affects left by residents.
• Completion of property projects as assigned (light carpentry, assistance with maintenance team and exterior painting).
• Assists with the cleaning of swimming pools, spas, and associated equipment (if applicable to the property).
• Maintains the cleanliness of the laundry rooms, clubhouse and other common facilities on the property.
• Reasonable and reliable attendance and timeliness when reporting to work and completing work.
• Interacts well with others.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma, or equivalent.
• Ability to earn and maintain swimming pool operator’s certificate (if applicable to property).

• Experience in apartment grounds, light maintenance, or related field.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, stay organized, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to safely operate gas-powered equipment.

• On-call rotation for snow removal and associated weather-related safety measures.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug and medical screen.
• Requires the ability to withstand physical activity and navigate the property to include; walking, bending, twisting, climbing, reaching, flexibility, mobility and standing for extended periods of time.
• Ability to regularly work in weather conditions (heat, rain, snow, ice, etc.).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
