As a Product Approval & Compliance Coordinator, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our products meet all state and federal requirements while maintaining the high standards of integrity and customer focus that Physicians Mutual is known for. You’ll interpret and apply regulations, coordinate product filings, and collaborate with internal teams and state departments to ensure our products are compliant and approved for market.

• Manage product filings and coordinate directly with state regulators, including presenting and negotiating on behalf of the company.
• Handle annual and ad hoc state and federal reporting requirements.
• Provide advice and compliance guidance to internal partners, including Product Development, Customer Service, and Distribution teams.
• Analyze and interpret state and federal laws and regulations, updating internal resources as needed.
• Conduct legislative and regulatory research on insurance-related topics, ensuring timely responses to inquiries and maintaining compliance across all forms and business practices.

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and insurance industry experience required.
• 4–6 years of insurance experience, ideally across multiple product lines (Life, Health and/or Pet Insurance).
• Proven ability to analyze and interpret contract language and insurance regulations.
• Strong critical thinking, judgment, and decision-making skills.
• Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable managing priorities independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in negotiations and regulatory discussions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and comfort working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
