Position Summary

We’re looking for a skilled and service-oriented IT professional to join our team as a Junior Systems Administrator. In this role, you’ll help ensure the smooth operation of our technology systems by resolving technical issues, fulfilling service requests, and supporting end users across the organization. You’ll work closely with internal teams to troubleshoot incidents, monitor systems, and contribute to process improvements and IT projects that enhance service delivery.

This position is ideal for someone who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

DLR Group’s Information Technology team has an opening for a Junior Systems Administrator in our Omaha studio.

What You Will Do
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues, delivering advanced troubleshooting and timely resolution
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, operating systems (Windows and macOS), and business applications to ensure a seamless user experience
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and access-related issues across a multi-office environment
  • Administer user accounts, permissions, and identity management within Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and cloud platforms
  • Support Microsoft 365 services, including email, collaboration tools, and authentication systems
  • Monitor system and network performance, respond to alerts, and perform routine health checks to maintain system reliability and security
  • Support endpoint management, including imaging, deployment, configuration, patching, and security compliance
  • Assist with technology deployments, upgrades, and lifecycle management of hardware and software assets
  • Partner with HR and leadership to support onboarding and offboarding, ensuring secure and efficient access provisioning
  • Document solutions and contribute to knowledge resources that strengthen team efficiency and service quality
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend process or technical improvements to enhance the overall IT experience
  • Collaborate with senior IT team members on projects, system upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with end users and internal stakeholders
  • Travel to other office locations as needed to provide on‑site support
Required Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in a Systems Admin role, inclusive of at least 2 years in a Help Desk or IT Support role
  • Experience with Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365
  • Basic knowledge of Active Directory, networking, and server environments
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and ITIL-based support practices
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper‑V, or similar)
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
  • Basic scripting or automation experience (Power Shell preferred)
  • Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft certifications)
