Clarkson College is currently seeking a Senior Systems Engineer. The position provides strategic, long‑range technical planning for the college’s systems and networks, evaluates, recommends, implements, and maintains IT systems and services, and provides technical support. The role assumes management and coordination responsibilities for complex IT system projects. This is an in‑person position on the campus located in Omaha,ോക, NE. Applications will be accepted until February 15, 2026.
JobFunctions
- Design, install, and configure network, cloud, and computer systems.
- Perform troubleshooting for complex system issues.
- Design, implement, and enforce system security methods by applying best practices to ensure institutional data integrity.
- Monitor systems and ensure they are operational.
- Evaluate current systems and conduct capacity‑planning studies to plan for growth and continued functionality.
- Research, analyze, and test new hardware and software technologies that could further enhance the college’s ability to meet its descargar goals and objectives.
- Follow policies, procedures, regulatory requirements and perform other work assignments.
- Associate’s degree in computer science or related field required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT system or network administration required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with Windows Server, IP networks, Microsoft Remote Desktop/Terminal Services, storage arrays, Palo Alto firewalls, VMware vSphere, and cloud systems preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred.
