Senior PL​/SQL Enhancement Developer

Akkodis is seeking a Senior PL/SQL Performance Enhancement Developer for a Contract role in Omaha, NE supporting advanced performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting across enterprise database systems. This senior‑level role requires deep experience in PL/SQL, execution plan analysis, dependency review, and collaboration with DBAs and technical teams to drive continuous performance improvements.

$49.24/hour to $53.03/hour; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Delivering advanced PL/SQL development, tuning, and optimization for high‑volume enterprise applications
• Performing complex dependency analysis, execution plan evaluation, and performance diagnostics
• Handling exception management, deployment scripting, documentation, and enhancement review
• Collaborating closely with DBAs, offshore teams, and client stakeholders to drive performance initiatives
• Supporting iterative improvement cycles, performance reporting, and root‑cause analysis
• Providing expert‑level troubleshooting, monitoring support, and improvements across SQL procedures, packages, and database objects

• 10+ years of hands‑on PL/SQL development experience
• Strong expertise in database performance tuning, optimization, and query plan analysis
• Experience using monitoring tools and performance dashboards
• Proficiency in automation, scripting, and performance review documentation
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders
• Strong leadership traits with experience managing iterative improvement processes
