It collaborates with partners across the company to drive technology and digital transformation, design and execute IT strategies, and ensure IT risk management and security measures align with enterprise architecture standards and principles.

About The Role

The VP, Authentication Governance Senior Manager will provide leadership and oversee the company’s workforce authentication service function. This role reports to the Global Head of Authentication (Identity and Access Management) and requires extensive experience in IAM strategy, architecture, and software development/engineering, with subject matter expertise in authentication services for both internal workforce and customers. The role ensures visibility, communication, and governance across key business partners and stakeholders, works across organizational boundaries, manages engineering and operations teams, oversees vendors, drives POCs and negotiations, and interfaces with audit and regulatory teams.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute the delivery of Authentication services (Customer IAM).
  • Lead and oversee the design and development of authentication solutions that enforce security policies and access management requirements.
  • Lead and oversee the build, configuration, and architecture of authentication platforms (e.g., Okta/Ping, Azure) including SSO, registration, identity proofing, multifactor authentication, and password resets.
  • Understand authentication services and their integration with broader security solutions such as Identity & Access Governance, Privileged Access, and other cybersecurity services.
  • Define, enhance, and oversee enterprise-wide authentication processes, controls, follow-up, exception and risk acceptance approvals, and walkthroughs.
  • Oversee the development of technical authentication solutions, engaging service owners, architects, project managers, global infrastructure teams, regional IT teams, and key IAM product vendors during solution life cycles.
  • Gather and translate business requirements to integrate authentication systems with in-house and third-party applications for provisioning, access requests, and certifications.
  • Represent the IAM organization on large-scale technology projects, regulatory reviews, and internal/external audits.
  • Articulate business risks and technical challenges to stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate action orientation, collaboration, effective communication, and a customer-focused mindset. Drive engagement, results, global perspective, interpersonal savvy, and the ability to manage complexity and optimize work processes.
  • Build cohesive partnerships within and outside the Information Security Office (ISO) to meet shared objectives.
  • Maintain a global view and ensure solutions are scalable for dispersed personnel and customers.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in Cybersecurity and IAM, including engineering, strategy, controls, and related services.
  • 10+ years supporting IAM processes:
    Identity Governance, Privileged Access, Access Administration & Authentication (including MFA), Directory Services, and enterprise reporting for employees, non-employees, and customers.
