Summary of the Job

The Scrum Master serves as a servant‑leader for Agile development teams at FNBO, facilitating Scrum practices, removing impediments, and fostering continuous improvement to maximize team productivity and value delivery.

About This Role

As a Scrum Master within First National Information Technology group, you will be accountable for building high‑performing Agile teams and ensuring the completion of team deliverables. The individual in this position provides the leadership and experience to enable the team to develop goals, identify and remove impediments, work collaboratively across the organization, and help mitigate risks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate Agile activities and meetings—including daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Work with Product Owners to understand the product roadmap, priorities, and schedules to guide delivery.
  • Guide the team on Agile principles and values to enable and promote self‑organization.
  • Lead the team to make realistic and achievable delivery commitments using standard Agile metrics and reporting techniques.
  • Manage dependencies across the organization.
  • Build and support a strong team dynamic where people thrive and inspire each other.
  • Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders to manage expectations.
  • Coaching your team and the organization on Agile mindset and methodology.
  • Manage execution for your team.
  • Ensure tools and processes are documented and available for team use.
  • Solicit and use input to evolve the delivery system to improve velocity and quality.
Ideal Candidate for This Role
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Scrum Master required.
  • 5+ years of relevant IT experience including strong understanding of customer/stakeholder relationships, business analysis, estimation, and prioritization.
  • Strong knowledge of Scrum methodology and Agile principles.
  • Leadership and team‑building capabilities including coaching, guiding, and supporting team members.
  • Proficient in conflict resolution.
  • Problem‑solving mindset with ability to identify and remove impediments.
  • Strong, effective communication skills, ability to bring multiple roles and personalities together to work toward a shared goal.
  • Knowledge of other Agile methodologies (Kanban, SAFe, etc.).
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Experience promoting Agile engineering practices.
  • CSM, CPO, or PMI‑ACP certification preferred.

Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and must not require future sponsorship.

Compensation

Base pay range: $88,067.00 – $. The final compensation offer may vary within this range based on work experience, education, and/or skill level.

Work Environment

Hybrid model: three (3) days in‑person a week, two (2) days remote a week. Work location is subject to change based on business needs.
