The IT Platform/Cloud Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of National Indemnity Company’s Windows-based Server and Middleware application environment and will initiate projects and prepare project plans. The position is located in Omaha, NE and requires a hybrid work environment with 50% in-office.

• Act as systems engineer for Windows-based servers and Middleware applications.
• Install and administer operating systems and middleware software to meet user needs.
• Analyze and identify inefficiencies or problems within middleware systems, determine solutions, and resolve issues.
• Provide technical instructions and training to support staff and offer leadership and mentoring as needed.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software problems during and after hours as required by urgency or nature of situation.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of related work experience.
• Experience with Windows Server OS administration.
• Experience with enterprise software installation and administration.
• Basic operation of Microsoft Office and other productivity software.

• Microsoft Azure experience.
• Microsoft 365 skills.
• ITIL or similar methodologies.
• Microsoft certifications.
• Scripting technologies.
• Citrix, VMware, MS Exchange, SQL Server administration.
