The IT Platform/Cloud Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of National Indemnity Company’s Windows-based Server and Middleware application environment and will initiate projects and prepare project plans. The position is located in Omaha, NE and requires a hybrid work environment with 50% in-office.
Responsibilities- Act as systems engineer for Windows-based servers and Middleware applications.
- Install and administer operating systems and middleware software to meet user needs.
- Analyze and identify inefficiencies or problems within middleware systems, determine solutions, and resolve issues.
- Provide technical instructions and training to support staff and offer leadership and mentoring as needed.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software problems during and after hours as required by urgency or nature of situation.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of related work experience.
- Experience with Windows Server OS administration.
- Experience with enterprise software installation and administration.
- Basic operation of Microsoft Office and other productivity software.
- Microsoft Azure experience.
- Microsoft 365 skills.
- ITIL or similar methodologies.
- Microsoft certifications.
- Scripting technologies.
- Citrix, VMware, MS Exchange, SQL Server administration.
