Work Schedule/FLSA Status: 261-day 12-month / Non-exempt

Position Purpose

The TS processor will provide versatile and reliable support across multiple areas of the Talent Services (TS) department to ensure seamless operations during periods of increased workload, staff absences, or special projects. This individual will assist with various duties related to Human Resources Information Systems, including but not limited to People Soft HCM, Talent Ed, E-Verify, and Nebraska Department of Labor.

The TS processor will manage and respond to employment verification requests while maintaining strict confidentiality and adherence to the highest standards of security. Will also need to demonstrate a willingness to gain further knowledge of systems and products. Additionally, it is essential to maintain strong standards and professional ethics.

Essential Performance Responsibilities
  • Employment Verification:
    Process and respond to employment verification requests while ensuring all verifications are released only with proper authorization and in compliance with labor laws and data privacy regulations. The ability to verify employee income using pay slips and or payroll reports to confirm employment status, pay rate, hours worked, and pay frequency. Able to validate year-to-date and/or District earnings for the employee.
  • E-Verify Compliance:
    Review employee-provided identification documents to ensure authenticity and compliance with USCIS guidelines. Assist with internal and external audits related to I-9 compliance. Complete and verify the I-9 Form for newly hired employees within the required time frames.
  • HRIS Support:
    Maintain and support HR systems, including People Soft, Talent Ed, E-Verify, and Paper Vision. Perform accurate data entry, troubleshoot issues, and generate reports to ensure compliance and data integrity.
  • File Management:
    Organize and maintain employee records and applicant files in accordance with district policies and data privacy standards. Ensure timely updates and secure storage of sensitive information, including records managed in Paper Vision.
  • Auditing:
    Conduct regular audits of HRIS data, personnel files, and compliance documentation to identify discrepancies and maintain accuracy. Prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions as needed.
  • Assist with analyzing and evaluating data, interpreting findings, and preparing reports to support processes in Talent Services
  • Assists with time reporting and payroll-related data on a weekly and monthly basis for payroll processing according to designated payroll deadlines, as needed.
  • Adheres to strong standards of professional ethics and confidentiality when relating to staff, administration, and community.
  • Perform a variety of responsible clerical, technical, administrative, and office support duties in support of District hiring.
  • Provide customer service, both in-person and by telephone; screen and direct telephone calls; take and relay messages; answer questions from employees and the general public as appropriate other requests for information.
  • Exhibits interpersonal skills pertinent to building positive human relationships with all District staff and community resources.
  • Possess skills pertinent to positive human relationships and the ability to work effectively with staff members as well as the many publics in a large urban setting.
  • Knowledge of the company's mission, purpose, goals, and the role of every employee in achieving each of them.

Additional Duties

Performs other related tasks as assigned by supervisor, Chief Talent Officer, or Superintendent.

Equipment

This position requires the ability to use basic office equipment such as computers, copiers, scanners, LCD projectors, and other office-related equipment. Must always comply with OPS’s guidelines for equipment use.

Travel

Limited local travel may be required.
