The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting the Human Resources department in executing core HR functions including recruitment, benefits administration, compensation support, compliance, and employee relations. This role ensures consistent application of HR policies and procedures, maintains accurate employee records, and contributes to a positive and compliant workplace environment. The HR Generalist works closely with employees and management to support organizational goals.
THE ROLE Job Functions- Administer and support recruitment processes including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and onboarding
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures
- Maintain and update HRIS and personnel files in accordance with company standards and legal requirements
- Assist in benefits administration including enrollments, changes, communications
- Support compensation processes including data entry, reporting, and market benchmarking
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Provide support to new hire orientation
- Conduct offboarding
- Participate in employee relations activities and support conflict resolution efforts
- Assist with performance reviews and merit increases
- Assist in the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures
- Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS platforms
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS)
- Familiarity with compensation analysis and benefits administration
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and ethics
- Willingness to pursue HR knowledge
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in Human Resources department
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification
