** Oncology Pharmacy Specialist – Acute Care - Full-time
**** Position Highlights:
** Nebraska Medicine is seeking a highly motivated clinical pharmacist to join our Acute Care Oncology Pharmacy Team to provide extraordinary oncology care to our patients at the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center. This role will support a large population of adult bone marrow transplant recipients as well as adults and pediatrics with acute oncology needs.

This acute care oncology pharmacy specialist will serve as a key member of the inpatient oncology team with a dedicated opportunity to optimize medication therapy and advance evidence-based care in hematology, medical oncology, and stem cell transplant populations as oncology plans are facilitated throughout the afternoon and evening.  This position will require a strong engagement in clinical practice, patient education, and quality improvement initiatives.
** Key Responsibilities
*** Optimizing complex oncology medication regimens and ensuring safe, high-quality care
* Collaborating with physicians, APPs, nursing, and care teams for patients transitioning in and out of the acute care environment.
* Leading and support quality improvement and research initiatives
* Precepting pharmacy students, PGY1, and PGY2 residents

Applicants with the following experience will be given priority consideration:
Completion of an Oncology PGY2 or fellowship required OR Completion of a PGY1 plus a minimum of 3 years of experience as an oncology specialist. Any candidates with PGY1 training and an oncology background are encouraged to apply.
Board certification in oncology pharmacy (BCOP) would be expected to be obtained within 24 months of hire.

*** Second shift position that will work 4 days a week (Monday through Thursday) with no weekend accountability
