Med Tech Field Service Technician - On-Call / Per Diem - Omaha/Lincoln, NE
Join IQVIA as a Med Tech Field Service Technician. In this role you will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain automated medication dispensing systems in hospitals, pharmacies, and other clinical settings. The position is on‑call, averaging 20‑25 hours per week.
Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and repair devices, documenting all activities.
- Replace hardware parts, perform software updates, and calibrate equipment.
- Conduct bi‑annual or yearly preventative maintenance as required.
- Assist with installation and implementation of new devices at customer sites.
- Perform routine system checks and record data from product tests.
- Maintain and stock parts and tools as assigned by the customer.
- Be available on‑call, including nights and weekends.
- Receive paid training for the role.
- Intermediate troubleshooting skills in electronics, mechanics, and electromechanical systems.
- Preferred experience as a military technician, computer technician, or similar complex electronics role; experience with automation equipment in a healthcare setting is a plus.
- Background in healthcare, field service, engineering, biomedical, maintenance, customer service, pharmacy technician, electronics, electrical, or IT is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to provide exceptional customer support.
- Physical ability to push, pull, stoop, bend, and lift up to 70 lbs.
- Must meet hospital vendor credentialing requirements, including proof of vaccination status.
- Travel locally up to 2‑3 hours to support customer needs.
- Respond to and arrive at customer sites within the service ticket’s SLA (within 4, 8, 12, or 24 hours per ticket).
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle for job‑related assignments.
- Travel and time traveling is paid, including mileage.
- A+ certification preferred.
- Ability to work independently in customer settings with minimal supervision.
This position is not eligible for our Medical Benefits.
Vaccine/Immunization/Hospital Credentialing RequirementIndividuals must complete healthcare facility credentialing, including up‑to‑date immunizations: MMR, Varicella, TB test, Tdap, Hepatitis B, seasonal influenza, and COVID‑19 primary series. CompensationThe potential base pay range is $32.00 per hour. Total compensation may vary based on qualifications, location, and schedule. Incentive plans, bonuses, and additional benefits may be offered.
