Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM or night shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM

• Manager creates schedule based on unit needs

• Every other weekend requirement

• Holiday requirements: 2 out of 3 major holidays or every other as needed based on unit needs

• Float to all inpatient units excluding Maternity/NICU

• Must live more than 50 miles from facility (radius rule applies)

• Cannot be employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any Common Spirit, CHI, or Dignity facility

• Driver's license required at submittal for radius verification

• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

• Must pass open book exam on Friday during orientation with 90% or face contract termination

• 2 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided

• Dress code:
Navy blue scrubs

• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove results in contract termination

• Work in 34-bed Medical Surgical ICU with 1:1-2 nurse-to-patient ratios

• Care for adults and pediatrics over 15 years old with complex conditions including neuro surgery, respiratory failure, ARDS, sepsis, stroke, and cardiogenic shock

• Required to titrate drips including vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics

• Must read and interpret telemetry strips using Draeger heart monitoring system

• Work with various equipment including CVPs, arterial lines, Swan-Ganz catheters, ICP monitoring, and ventilators

• Collaborate with attendings, fellows, and residents in fast-paced tertiary care environment

• Chart in EPIC system

• RTO required upfront (7 or less days per 13-week contract)
