College of Medicine

Responsible for monitoring accounts to ensure collectability of reimbursement and payments from insurance carriers and/or patients for professional fee services.

Monday-Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM

Hybrid (part-time working on site, part-time working off-site)

• Education:
  
  Relevant coursework/specialized training;
  One year post high school education in business or related field (will consider four years related post high school education/experience).
• Experience:
  
  3 years experience in medical or professional fee billing or claims examiner with customer service experience (will consider four years related post high school education/experience).
• Computer Applications:
  Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook.
• Knowledge &
  
  Skills:
  
  Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT4, ICD-9-M; CRT/PC experience; correct English grammar and spelling; maintain a cooperative attitude; maintain confidential information; strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

• Education:
  
  Medical billing or insurance coursework.
• Experience:
  
  Experience in medical or professional fee billing or claims examiner with customer service experience;
  Some experience with third party reimbursement.
• Computer Applications: SAP; LIS systems, Firefly.
• Knowledge &
  
  Skills:
  
  Skilled in medical practices, terminology, and reimbursement policies; ability to read, interpret and apply policies and procedures; ability to set priorities among multiple requests.
