$10,000 educational assistance available to external candidates! We currently have an amazing opportunity in our Cardiac Cath/Interventional Radiology Lab for a Cath/IR Invasive Technologist
. Working in our fast moving Cath/IR Lab offers a variety of procedural exposure for scrub/radiology technologists who choose this clinical area for professional growth. We are looking for Rad techs and/or RCIS techs who can wear many hats and think quickly on their feet while providing the best patient care. The Cath/IR lab invasive tech assists the team in performing catheterizations and angiograms.
They will monitor and examine the patient prior to, during, and after the procedure, and assist the physician and medical team as needed during the procedure, including supply knowledge and management with the department.
Up to $20,000 sign-on bonus and $10,000 educational assistance available to external candidates

- Float between Omaha Metro Cardiac Cath Labs, as needed (float differential applied to base rate).
- Communicate effectively and cooperate with team members, patients, families, guests, and providers. Assist with pre-procedure education and preparing patients for the procedure.
- Prepare patients for procedures, including checking and verifying vital signs, medications, NPO status, lab results, and medical history.
- Monitor patient patterns and vital signs during the procedure.
- Collaborate with other staff to ensure patients understand the procedure and can have questions answered as needed.
- Ensure the patient is positioned properly for the procedure.
- Ensure EKG electrodes and cardiac electrodes are properly placed.
- Ensure skin is prepped and sterilized appropriately prior to procedural draping.
- Perform monitoring throughout procedures.
- Document clinical information in patient records.
- Operate hemodynamic monitoring equipment and recognize or report changes in cardiac rhythm and hemodynamic waveforms.
- Accurately document the flow of events from start through completion of the procedure. Scrub and assist physicians during procedures.
- Perform surgical scrubbing duties and assist physicians during minimally invasive, image-guided procedures; prepare equipment and maintain a sterile field.
- Assist with placement/deployment/use of invasive catheters, wires, balloons, stents, intra-aortic balloon counter-pulsation equipment (IABP), implantable cardiac devices, and electrophysiology catheters.
- X-ray equipment management and manipulation.
- Daily scheduling and chart preparation for procedures.
- Daily maintenance and quality assurance testing.
- Equipment cleaning and supply re-stocking.
Job Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school: ARRT and/or RCIS.
- Previous general radiologic technologist experience (1 year).
- Previous Cardiac Cath Lab and/or Interventional Radiology Lab experience.
- Current ARRT (NE) and/or RCIS licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS-CPR).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months.

Pay Range$30.76 - $45.76 /hour
