Medical Supplies Customer Service

Overview

As a Billing Representative, you will help patients and providers streamline the billing and insurance process so they can focus on patient care and financial well-being.

• Review and process patient accounts, insurance claims, and payment postings daily.
• Ensure accurate and timely billing, follow up on denied claims, and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Communicate medical supplies/equipment needs with patients.
• Answer medical billing questions for patients.
• Research insurance eligibility and coverage, complete necessary paperwork, and submit clinical notes to ensure claim approval.
• Use billing software to update patient, insurance, and inventory records.
• Maintain adequate records while adhering to HIPAA guidelines and regulations.
• Professionally communicate with CHI team members as well as internal and external providers.

• High School GED or General Studies.
• Minimum of two years of medical supplies and/or billing experience.
• Strong attention to detail, knowledge of medical billing and coding, and experience with healthcare insurance.
