Position Summary
POSTING FOR UNMC EMPLOYEES ONLY
The Administrator II provides high-level leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight for the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology’s research enterprise. This position independently manages a rapidly growing, complex multimillion-dollar research portfolio encompassing federal grants, foundation awards, donor-funded initiatives, clinical trials, and multi-site collaborative programs.
The Administrator II partners directly with the Chief Administrator, Chair, Research Director, faculty, and institutional leaders to develop research strategy, build infrastructure, ensure financial stewardship, expand clinical research capacity, and strengthen compliance and operational excellence across all programs. The role leads administrative, research, and operational staff supporting the clinical, translational, and basic science research missions of the department, and serves as the primary administrative leader for the Nebraska Center for Women’s Health Research (NCWHR).
