Patient Care Coordinator; PRN

Overview

Nebraska Cancer Specialists is the regional leader in cancer diagnosis, treatment and research. We are seeking a part-time (6–7 days per month) Patient Care Coordinator in our Kearney clinic. The Patient Care Coordinator will schedule patient appointments, labs, therapies, scans and referrals.

• Check in patients as they arrive for their appointment
• Schedule appointments by reviewing providers’ orders in the Q - including scans, consults, tests and procedures, either with our office or other medical facilities
• Welcome and greet patients, families and visitors to the clinic in a helpful and friendly manner
• Handle phone calls in a timely manner and provide detailed messages

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in customer service and/or patient scheduling, reception, secretary work, electronic medical records, and multi-line phones
• Ability to work at other locations as needed and for meetings
