Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM

• Every other weekend requirement and 2 out of 3 major holidays required

• Nurse to patient ratios: 1:1-2 ICU, PCU 1:4-5, and MS 1:5-6

• Float to all inpatient units excluding Maternity/NICU

• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

• Must pass open book exam during orientation with 90% or higher score

• Navy blue scrub dress code required

• 2 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided

• Care for adults and pediatric patients over 15 years old

• Manage common diagnoses including respiratory failure, ARDS, sepsis, stroke, cardiogenic shock, and renal failure

• Required to titrate drips including vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics

• Work with advanced equipment including CVPs, arterial lines, Swan-Ganz catheters, ICP monitoring, and ventilators

• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips independently

• Driver's license required and must live outside 50-mile radius

• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove results in contract termination

• Cannot be employed with any Common Spirit, CHI, or Dignity facility

• Epic charting system experience preferred

• Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
