CNA-Med Asst-Surgery Scheduler - Part Time

Position: CNA-Med Asst-Surgery Scheduler - Part Time - Days
* When directed, serves as a back up to the front desk to answer phones, assist with intake, schedule and manage medical records.
* Displays professionalism when answering the phone.
* Always appears willing to help a customer/patient regardless of the need.
* Courteous and willing to help.
* Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
* Performance Measures:
Educates/instructs patients according to provider direction 95% of the time.
* Provides patient with education material including books, brochures, websites and other illness/health related material.
* Explains/reviews education material to patient and family as directed by provider.
* High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required.  + Two (2) years college preferred.
* Completion of 75 or 120 hours Nurse Aide/Nurse Assistant program and active on the Nebraska DHHS Nurse Aide Registry, or completion of two (2) semesters of clinical practice in an accredited nursing program, or Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited program required.
* Participates in mandatory in-services and continuing education programs as mandated by policies and procedures/external agencies and as directed by supervisor.
* Pleasant personality and courteous manner imperative.
* Ability to work under stress and distractions.
