Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Hospice – PRN – Days – Omaha, NE

Tabitha Home Health Care and Hospice, LLC – a collaboration with Immanuel in Omaha, NE – is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide care on a PRN basis with a holiday rotation. The role focuses on supporting seniors in maintaining independence and enhancing their physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well‑being.

• Provides assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, transferring/ambulation, and continence.
• Assists with senior/client admissions, discharges, transfers, and orientation of new employees.
• Follows department protocol for submission of completed documentation.
• Prioritizes assignments and adjusts throughout shift to meet changing needs of seniors, clients, caregivers, and team members.
• Performs work duties within the assigned work environment as directed by Tabitha, regardless of team member preference.
• Follows the comprehensive care plan/service plan as developed for each individual senior/client.
• Complies with HIPAA regulations regarding privacy and safeguards protected health information.
• Implements activities for seniors/clients and prepares, plates, and serves meals, snacks, and other foods requested by or for senior/client.
• Assists with cleanup of the dining room and handles housekeeping and laundry duties as needed.

• Communication:
  Must speak, read, write, and understand English, including medical terminology related to the job.
• Physical requirements:
  
  Ability to access work area and safely perform duties; vision and hearing within normal limits (with or without correction); unrestricted lift/push/pull of 50 lb, demonstrating strength and agility at Tabitha’s discretion.
• Age requirement:
  At least 16 years old.
• Education:
  
  High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience:
  
  6 months of experience as an aide or caregiver preferred.
• Credentials: CNA certification in good standing on the Nebraska State Registry required; MA‑40 certification preferred; CPR required if MA‑40; must maintain certifications and vaccination requirements at employee’s expense.
