Live On Nebraska is looking for a Tissue Procurement Coordinator to help us give the most precious gift of all—life. If you geek out for Anatomy Lab days and thrive in a fast-paced environment, you may be the candidate we’re looking for.

This on-site position requires the candidate to reside within 45 minutes of Omaha and includes a rotating on-call schedule covering nights, weekends, and holidays.

Job Responsibilities
  • Coordinate, facilitate, and perform surgical recovery of tissues from deceased donors.
  • Gather and accurately assess patient medical records and donor risk assessments to determine suitability.
  • Accurately complete the donor electronic record.
  • Perform case oversight including charting, delegation of duties, and communication with internal and external partners.
  • Provide ethical and sensitive treatment to each donor.
Experience
  • Proficiency with sterile technique.
  • Advanced knowledge of human anatomy.
  • Experience with tissue recovery preferred.
  • Effective communication with coroners, funeral homes, families, hospitals, and other internal departments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree focused on anatomy (e.g., health sciences or nursing) preferred, or a minimum of four years equivalent training and experience required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Certified Tissue Banking Specialist Certification (CTBS).
  • A valid driver’s license and personal auto insurance with the ability to travel by vehicle.
  • Ability to maintain professional relationships and effective communication with internal and external partners.
