Our Respiratory Therapists are highly trained and perform specialized respiratory care including ventilator management, nebulizer treatment, chest PT, arterial blood gas sampling, oxygen therapies, external ventilation support and pulmonary function assessments. Responsibilities- Perform basic respiratory care and develop plans for the delivery of Respiratory Therapy as directed by physicians or protocols and implement in a timely manner. Promote a positive quality work environment in the provision of quality patient care.
- Administer and monitor critical care procedures such as mechanical ventilation, physiological monitoring, and diagnostic procedures in accordance with established policies.
- Assess the patient, determine needs related to therapy modality, frequency, and duration of the treatment regime ordered by the MD. Communicate evaluation data to the physician and recommend changes in specific modes of therapy.
- Make entries in the medical record consistent with the scope of job duties and applicable licensure. Observe the patient’s response to therapy, evaluate, record in the medical record, and report adverse reactions immediately.
- Provide instruction to patients, family, staff, and students about theory, therapy, and equipment used in Respiratory Therapy procedures and techniques. Refer Home Care patients and families/caregivers using language and materials appropriate for age, cognitive, and physical abilities.
- Assume charge person responsibilities in the supervisor’s absence. Assign workload based on staff competency.
- Up to $15,000 New Hire sign‑on Bonus and up to $10,000 Loan Forgiveness.
- Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
- Certified CRT by NBRC and obtain RRT within 1 year upon hire.
- Active license in the state of Nebraska and/or Iowa as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
- BLS through AHA required.
- ACLS certification within 3 months of hire, PALS within 6 months, and NRP within 9 months.

$33.84 – $50.34 per hour
