Position

Summary

Our Clinic Radiology Technologist works in a fast-paced and high-volume orthopedic clinic. This person is responsible for friendly and positive interactions with patients while obtaining quality diagnostic x-rays in accordance with physician orders.

Position Requirements
  • Education:
    Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved radiologic technology school – required.
  • Licensure:
    • ARRT (R) – required
    • Nebraska state Medical Radiographer license – required
    • Iowa State Medical Radiographer license – required
  • Certification:
    Basic Life Support (BLS) – required
  • Experience: 1+ year of experience in a clinic and/or hospital imaging department – preferred
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Performs quality x-rays in an orthopedic clinic setting
  • Responsible for quality control of images and able to adjust positioning and technical parameters to obtain optimal results
  • Assess patient’s abilities to comply with exam requirements and communicate effectively to complete the exam timely
  • Ability to interact and communicate with patients, physicians, management and team members in a professional manner
Essential Job Functions
  • Operate radiologic equipment safely and in accordance with ALARA principles
  • Obtain quality diagnostic images per physician protocols
  • Maintain positive, friendly interactions with patients and families
  • Participate in annual performance improvement education
  • Attend and participate in department meetings
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, in both team and individual settings
  • Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements

This position is classified as Medium Work, requiring the exertion of up to 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demands may exceed those of Light Work.

Must be able to pass background check. Pre-employment physical and drug testing are required. Any job offer will be contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment physical with a drug screen, background check, and obtaining active licensures per job requirements.
