The Physical Therapist, the ideal candidate, will provide high-quality, evidence-based care to a diverse population with musculoskeletal conditions. This role involves evaluating, diagnosis, and implementing individualized treatment plans to restore function, reduce pain, and enhance overall quality of life. They work closely with the medical team including physicians, physical therapy assistants and ancillary staff to coordinate care for optimal patient outcomes.

Education: Graduate of an approved program for physical therapy - required.

Licensure: Fully licensed to practice physical therapy in the state of Nebraska and/or Iowa - required.

Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 60 days of hire. Advanced clinical certification is preferred.

Experience: Orthopedic experience as a Physical Therapist required.

• Deliver high quality clinical care and customer service
• Establish goals and treatment plans in collaboration with the patient, family members and healthcare team.
• Provide treatment services to restore, maintain or improve patient functions.
• Promote and advance the hospital's vision to be the BEST through department initiatives and community outreach.
• Develop and enhance the vision of the department with an emphasis on growth and program development.
• Promote collaboration with referring physicians.
• Offer clinical instruction to physical therapy and physical therapy assistant students.
• Collaborate with others with good listening skills, respectful communication, and consensus-building in decision-making.
• Responsible for all other duties as assigned.

Physical requirements: This position is classified as Medium Work in the Dictionary of Occupational Titles, requiring the exertion of 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Must be able to pass background check. We also conduct pre-employment physical and drug testing. Any job offer will be contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment physical with a drug screen, background check and obtaining active licensures per job requirements.
