About the RoleSpectrum is seeking a highly motivated, capable investment professional to join our investment team as an Analyst in a rigorous and fast-paced environment.
The role will have a wide range of responsibilities that span the business in areas including research, due diligence, and execution of new investment opportunities, portfolio company management, and reporting/analytics. Self-motivation, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to solve ambiguous, real-world problems will be critical to success in this role.
The Analyst role will begin as soon as practicable. Compensation and benefits will be competitive and commensurate with a candidate’s experience.
What You Will Do- Support all aspects of evaluation, due diligence, and execution of new investment opportunities
- Support current investments in operating businesses and other portfolio holdings including board-level strategy, performance analysis, ongoing diligence, and financing / operating initiatives
- Assist in the development and execution of capital allocation decisions
- Conduct ad hoc investment-related projects as needed
- Thematic and industry-specific research
- 1-3 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, consulting, investment management, or other finance-related fields
- Intellectual curiosity and desire to learn
- Experience and/or demonstrated interest in principal investing
- Strong financial analysis and modeling skills
- Excellent knowledge of Excel and Power Point
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Long-term approach to building an investment career
- Comfort working on a small, performance-oriented team
- Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others
- Outgoing and personable demeanor
