Controller, Finance & Banking, Accounting Manager

We’re partnering with a well-established commercial contractor in Omaha that needs an experienced, hands-on Controller to step in and support their financial operations This opportunity is for someone who can roll up their sleeves, own the numbers, and bring structure and clarity to the financials.

If you know Sage 300 and can confidently manage the close process in a construction environment, this could be a strong fit.

• Lead the month-end close process and prepare accurate financial statements
• Maintain and oversee the general ledger
• Perform GL and bank reconciliations
• Support budgeting and forecasting
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and tax requirements (including payroll and sales/use tax)
• Strengthen internal controls and processes
• Support job cost accounting and cash flow management
• Assist leadership with operational reporting and analysis

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• 2+ years in a Controller or similar leadership role
• Strong Sage 300 experience
• Construction accounting experience preferred
• Experience producing financial statements and managing the GL
• Proven leadership background — someone who can guide and develop staff
• Hands-on, collaborative, adaptable mindset

• 40–45 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 8:00–5:00)
