Key Responsibilities Assist the Underwriting Manager with department staff, ensuring compliance with standards and guidelines Partner with the Underwriting Manager to train and motivate staff, manage schedules, and monitor workflow Perform underwriting duties and resolve escalated issues from the underwriting staff
Required Qualifications and Experience 5-7 years of retail underwriting experience with all loan products Current FHA/VA underwriting certification Advanced knowledge of mortgage lending processes and valid documentation Understanding of underwriting and regulatory requirements Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
