We are seeking an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team for the upcoming tax season. This part-time, in-office role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and delivering exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Prepare accurate and timely individual and small business tax returns, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

+ Review financial documents and gather necessary information to complete filings efficiently.

+ Utilize Pro Series Professional Tax Software to process and manage tax-related tasks.

+ Communicate professionally with clients to clarify information and address inquiries.

+ Stay current on tax law changes to ensure compliance and accuracy.

+ Identify and resolve discrepancies in tax documentation.

+ Collaborate with team members to maintain workflow and meet deadlines.

+ Safeguard sensitive client information and maintain strict confidentiality.

+ Provide guidance on tax-saving strategies and applicable deductions for both individuals and small businesses.

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ Experience in tax preparation

+ Proficient with major tax software systems and MS Office Suite

+ Strong understanding of current tax codes and guidelines

+ Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills

+ Effective verbal and written communication abilities

+ Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines

+ Relevant certifications (EA, CPA, or PTIN) preferred but not required
