Position SummaryServes as a budgetary accounting resource responsible for managing and maintaining research specific billing and invoicing with an interdisciplinary team to continually optimize the system to deliver a product that makes efficient use of resources.
Conduct audits and analysis, collaborating with internal/external partners to ensure accuracy of all trials budgets revenue and expenses. Provides direction on financial policies and procedures needed to ensure efficiencies.
Responsible for developing fiscal reports to include maintaining and summarizing various sources of operational data to support financial reporting, cost accounting, budgeting and procurement.

Education:
- Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.

- Knowledge of accounting rules and regulations
- Exceptional organizational skills, flexibility and the ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to interpret and apply sponsor, institutional and departmental policies
- Ability to manage high volume and complex transactions
- General business acumen and vision including judgment, negotiation skills, basic accounting, financial statement knowledge and the ability to forecast programmatic needs
- Advanced analytic reasoning and strategic planning to understand budgets and administrative policies
- Understanding of regulatory framework and internal controls and ability to apply them
- Ability to assess risk and solve problems to arrive at optimal solutions

- Working knowledge of enterprise systems and MS Office
- Ability to collaborate across multiple organizations
- Knowledge of and compliance with award-specific contract specifications

- Understanding pre-award budget preparation and related regulations such as Medicare Coverage Analysis and post-award administration
