Role
Description:
PL Integrated Services is seeking an experienced Power Generation Engineer to support engineering, operations, and maintenance activities at generating facilities. This role provides hands‑on, in‑person engineering support to ensure proper system operation and effective troubleshooting across a variety of generation assets.
The ideal candidate brings strong plant experience and is comfortable supporting dual fuel combustion turbines (multiple OEMs) as well as base load fossil generation sites.
Key Responsibilities- Provide on‑site engineering support for operations and maintenance teams
- Troubleshoot system performance and operational issues to ensure correct system functionality
- Support system engineering activities using common industry practices and terminology
- Assist with issue resolution across mechanical, electrical, and control systems
- Support one or multiple generating sites as operational needs arise
- Collaborate closely with plant personnel, engineering staff, and contractors
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, or related discipline) or equivalent experience
- Experience supporting fossil generation facilities and/or combustion turbine operations
- Strong understanding of power plant systems and equipment operation
- Demonstrated troubleshooting experience in an operating plant environment
- Ability to work on‑site and travel between facilities as required
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Controls system expertise(DCS, PLC, turbine controls, or related systems)
- Combustion turbine support experience, including dual fuel applications
- Experience working with multiple turbine OEM platforms
- Background in system engineering or plant engineering roles within a utility or large industrial environment
- Initial 6‑month contract, with potential to extend based on performance and project needs
- Pay rate:$85 – $115 per hour, depending on experience
- Mileage:reimbursement for travel between sites
