Zachry Engineering Corporation is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to join our talented Mechanical Engineering Department in Omaha, NE

• Responsible for completing project specific objectives under direction of a Senior Mechanical Engineer.
• Specify, evaluate bids, and perform vendor document review for process equipment such as pressure vessels, tanks, pumps, and heat exchangers.
• Perform calculations for equipment and piping.
• Specify Materials for process and utility piping services.
• Attend Client, Vendor, and internal team project meetings.
• Perform field surveys to collect required field data and assist with interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications in the field.

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience.
• Experience applying standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to ensure compliance with design basis, and safety and environmental regulations.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Must possess permanent authorization to work in the USA without the need of sponsorship now or in the future.

• Experience as a Mechanical Engineer in the midstream, petrochemical, refining, power and energy transition industries.
• FE with interest in obtaining PE.
