What you’ll do as a Field Service EngineerThe Field Service Engineer acts as the immediate technical support for all field service and equipment issues on‑site or via phone support to customers in the food and pharmaceutical industries. Our Field Service Engineers are cross‑trained experts that visit customer facilities on a regular basis to verify equipment safety, recommend preventive maintenance, and verify standards.
The Field Service Engineer maintains strong relationships with customers and ensures their operation is running smooth by providing hands‑on machine maintenance. With a strong customer service focus, you ensure the longevity of the Anritsu machines that ensure quality and safety for our world‑class partners.
Our highly regarded, cutting‑edge inspection equipment (X‑ray, metal detectors, checkweighers, and conveyors) is in demand by our quality‑minded customers. While packaging and inspection equipment experience is beneficial, we are willing to train ambitious and technically savvy professionals on the nuances of our industry. This role will provide highly motivated candidates passionate about learning ample opportunities to advance their careers.
What we’re looking for:- Minimum of five years of experience in a customer service / mechanical field service work environment
- Experience diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical machine issues
- Minimum Associates Degree in Electronic Technology, Industrial Controls or Electrical Engineering, or similar technical education through the military
- Travel up to 75-85% overnight travel during the workweek (drive personal car with reimbursement)
- Experience in using electrical test equipment
- Intermediate level experience in Microsoft Applications such as Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Ability to interpret circuit diagrams and manufacturing drawings in AutoCAD and Solidworks
- Familiarity with the food processing / packaging industry is ideal but not required
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of position duties; to include lifting 50 lbs, squatting, standing for long periods, working in cold, food processing rooms, etc.
Ideal candidates will reside in the Omaha or Kansas City metropolitan areas.
