The Senior Freight Rail Project Manager
- Civil/Track Design is a key position that will be based in Omaha, Nebraska and will report into the US West Region Rail Group. This person will have the opportunity to work on a diverse set of exciting freight rail design projects with the AECOM rail group with a focus on supporting and growing our Class I, short line and industrial clients.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serve as an AECOM senior project manager on rail projects from planning, preliminary engineering, and final design.
• Accountable for developing project scope, budget and schedule and lead client contract negotiations.
• Coordinate, cooperate, and work collaboratively with others team members as well as support business development.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to subordinate managers and technical engineering staff.
• Performance at this level requires experience in a professional position and demonstrated experience with the types of tasks that will be required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• BA/BS + ten(10) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Professional Engineering license in Nebraska (or ability to obtain)
• 8 years of relevant experience in rail design, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Proficient with Open Roads/Open Rail or other BIM Software (AutoCAD/Civil 3D/Geo Pak)
• Ability to collaborate and coordinate with design teams consisting of multi-discipline design engineers and technicians
• Excellent communication and writing skill
