AECOM is seeking a candidate for the position of Senior Bridge Design Project Engineer V in the growing Transportation Engineering Group in Kansas City, MO.

Specifics of the role include:

* Coordinates and provides technical expertise for mid- large-size projects.

* Strong emphasis on railway bridge design and deliveries.

* Leads technical client relationships and plays a major role in selling.

* Leads discipline department efforts to grow technical expertise.

* Leads technical business development work.

* Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.

* Approves and signs off on work.

* Leader in one or more areas of technology.

* Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule a to meet requirements on large, complex projects.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree + 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

* Ability to pass MVR check.

Preferred Qualifications:

* 10 + years' experience in bridge design

* Extensive project design experience with railway system bridges and related structures

* Project management skills

* Excellent verbal communication and writing skills, including technical report writing.

* Structural problem analysis skills (including knowledge/use of design and calculation tools, software)

* Knowledgeable of standard engineering practices, techniques and applicable Codes.

* Knowledge of current structural modeling software tools

* A current PE license.
