Seeking Hazardous Materials/ Waste Specialist candidates with relevant Environmental Management Sector Experience (functional and technical area expertise also ideal) to support professional services engagement for Environmental Management Sector Clients such as USACE. This as a Contract Contingent or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) Position and Pro Sidian reserves the right to convert to a Full-Time Pro Sidian employed W-2 Position.
Job Overview
Provide services and support as an Environmental Remediation Services (ERS) (Hazardous Materials/ Waste Specialist) in the Environmental Management Industry Sector focusing on Environmental Services Solutions for clients such as Department of Defense (DoD - USACE) and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Northwestern Division, Omaha District (USACE NWO) Area of Responsibility (AOR) Generally Located In CONUS - Ten States:
Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming and across the Mid West Region.
Responsibilities
- Hazardous Materials/Waste Specialist responsibilities include managing hazardous materials and waste, ensuring regulatory compliance, and overseeing waste disposal processes. The role requires education and experience in HAZMAT and HAZWASTE management to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and to follow the PWS and the HAZWASTE management plan.
Desired Qualifications For Hazardous Materials/ Waste Specialist | Environmental Management [USACE
025030] Candidates:
- Expertise in hazardous materials management; knowledge of environmental regulations (e.g., RCRA, CERCLA). The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in an environmental, physical, or natural science or in engineering and three (3) years specialized experience in the management of hazardous materials/waste.
- Must possess a current Certified Hazardous Materials Manager certification and/or a Hazardous Waste Manifest/DOT certification; copies should be provided with the proposal.
- RCRA and CERCLA are critical environmental laws; RCRA governs cradle-to-grave management of hazardous waste; CERCLA (Superfund) addresses cleanup of contaminated sites.
- Education / Experience:
5+ years in hazardous materials management; certifications such as HAZWOPER required;
