Distant and Throwing Assistant are needed
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic coach to join our athletics program. This Coach will work closely with the coaching staff to support all aspects of the team, including practice planning, skill development, team supervision, and the promotion of a positive and inclusive athletic culture. This position plays an important role in fostering school spirit, student engagement, and a strong connection between the athletic program and the broader school community.
QualificationsCoaching experience in the athletic or activity, Nebraska Department of Education Teacher Certification preferred not required.
Responsibilities Student Supervision & Coaching- Supervise and coach students during all activities.
- Encourage sportsmanship, teamwork, and adherence to school and team rules.
- Implement disciplinary procedures aligned with school policies.
- Clearly explain eligibility and participation rules to students.
- Treat all students fairly and equitably while maintaining confidentiality.
- Develop and implement practice sessions and competition strategies.
- Assist in scheduling interscholastic contests and activities.
- Support the maintenance, inventory, and distribution of equipment, uniforms, and supplies.
- Ensure safety conditions of facilities and equipment are met at all times.
- Maintain accurate records such as rosters, scores/times, equipment logs, and award recognitions.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff about schedules, expectations, and updates.
- Develop positive relationships with parents, staff, students, and community members.
- Serve as a role model reflecting school values and high standards of conduct.
- Attend required meetings, training sessions, and in-services to stay informed on rules, techniques, and expectations.
- Regular, punctual, and dependable attendance is required.
- Must be physically and mentally able to perform all duties effectively.
