Job DescriptionPosition Summary and Qualifications
- Provide consultation, coaching and support to teams and individuals on effective Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA), function–based interventions, and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP).
- Coordinate and support developing/continuing/ sustaining the District MTSS framework for improving core instruction, supplemental interventions, team processes, and data analysis
- Facilitate team meetings and provide consultation, coaching and support to address classroom organization, effective instruction, social skills instruction, and other factors that affect the effectiveness of positive behavior support and intervention plans.
- Develop and facilitation of professional development that targets evidenced based practices and strategies to support school staff in the implementation of positive behavior support at the building and classroom level.
- District crisis intervention trainer:
Co-trainer and program manager; responsible for professional development, building-level compliance/implementation and monitoring
School Psychology/Behavior Intervention Specialist endorsements preferred, or highly qualified Special Education teachers with experience, knowledge and skills necessary to support individuals, teams, buildings and systems in positive behavior supports, FBAs, and behavior intervention plans.
