Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Instruction & Curriculum
  • Plan and deliver engaging science lessons aligned with state standards and diocesan guidelines
  • Teach core science content (life science, physical science, earth/space science as assigned)
  • Incorporate hands‑on labs, experiments, and inquiry‑based learning
  • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs including multilingual learners
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide timely feedback
  • Catholic Identity & Faith Integration
  • Support and uphold the mission and values of the Catholic Church and Saints Peter and Paul
  • Integrate Catholic teachings and values into classroom instruction when appropriate
  • Model Christian behavior and promote respect, compassion, and service
  • Participate in school liturgies, prayer services, and faith‑based activities
  • Classroom Environment
  • Maintain a safe, orderly, and respectful classroom
  • Enforce school policies consistently and fairly
  • Foster curiosity, collaboration, and scientific inquiry
  • Communication & Collaboration
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress

  • Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science or Education
  • Valid state teaching certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Practicing Catholic preferred (or willingness to support Catholic mission)
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills
  • Experience teaching middle school students preferred
