Principal Duties and Responsibilities- Instruction & Curriculum
- Plan and deliver engaging science lessons aligned with state standards and diocesan guidelines
- Teach core science content (life science, physical science, earth/space science as assigned)
- Incorporate hands‑on labs, experiments, and inquiry‑based learning
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs including multilingual learners
- Assess student progress regularly and provide timely feedback
- Catholic Identity & Faith Integration
- Support and uphold the mission and values of the Catholic Church and Saints Peter and Paul
- Integrate Catholic teachings and values into classroom instruction when appropriate
- Model Christian behavior and promote respect, compassion, and service
- Participate in school liturgies, prayer services, and faith‑based activities
- Classroom Environment
- Maintain a safe, orderly, and respectful classroom
- Enforce school policies consistently and fairly
- Foster curiosity, collaboration, and scientific inquiry
- Communication & Collaboration
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress
- Collaborate with colleagues and administration
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and assessments

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or Education
- Valid state teaching certification (or ability to obtain)
- Practicing Catholic preferred (or willingness to support Catholic mission)
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Experience teaching middle school students preferred
