Overview
Part-Time Preclinical Teaching Faculty at UNMC College of Medicine – Kearney Regional Campus. The University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) College of Medicine is seeking a part-time Pre-Clinical Teaching Faculty member to join its Kearney Regional Campus. The College is dedicated to educating and training physicians for practice in Greater Nebraska, with a focus on preparing students to meet the health care needs of rural and regional communities.
This position offers a meaningful opportunity for a practicing physician to have a direct and lasting impact on medical students early in their training, shaping their clinical reasoning, professional identity, and commitment to patient-centered care in Nebraska.
- Facilitate small-group learning sessions in Phase 1 curricular components, including:
- Problem-Based Learning (PBL)
- Communication Skills
- Physical Diagnosis
- Evidence-Based Medicine
- Commit approximately one half-day per week during the academic year for scheduled teaching activities.
- Participate in required preparatory sessions and faculty development activities to ensure alignment with curricular goals and instructional methods.
- Engage in assessment and feedback activities related to assigned teaching responsibilities.
- Serve, as requested, on relevant College of Medicine committees consistent with the part-time nature of the appointment.
