*** JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
** The Associate Dean provides internal leadership and direction to Industrial and Automotive Technology programs. This position supports curriculum and program development in industrial technology and automotive technology. The Associate Dean facilitates internal program review processes and outcomes assessments for the manufacturing and automotive areas. This position helps schedule and plan the program advisory committee meetings and student internship opportunities in the industrial trades’ programs.
** ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
** 1.
Supervises day to day operations of industrial and automotive credit programming.  2.
Supports the Dean of Skilled Trades and Technical Sciences.  3.
Coordinates packaging, scheduling, and staffing of courses.  4.
Works with division academic associate throughout MCC’s procurement process.  5.
Manages and supervises full and part-time program faculty.  6.
Performs faculty and employee performance evaluations.  7.
Supervises lab technicians/assistants in industrial and trades programs.  8.
Supervises outreach specialist within program areas.  9.
Evaluates, designs and implements improved learner support systems.  10.
Makes recommendations concerning resource allocation for the industrial trades programs.
11.
Participates in grant development programs.  12.
Identifies GAP funding opportunities for career degree programs at the College, and works with the Workforce Innovation Division to secure GAP funding  13.
Consistently and dependably attends work, activities, and functions as scheduled or assigned.

1.
Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.  2.
Five (5) years of work-related experience.  3.
Equivalent combination of education and/or work experience considered.  4.
Ability to travel between campuses for meetings or position responsibilities.  5.
Must pass background check.
