St. Margaret Mary Catholic School in Omaha is seeking a faith-filled, dedicated 2nd–grade teacher to join our vibrant elementary faculty for the 2026–2027 school year. The ideal candidate will be passionate about guiding students in both faith and academics, with a commitment to fostering spiritual, intellectual, social, and emotional growth in a nurturing environment. garet Mary, teachers partner closely with families and colleagues to support the mission of Catholic education and the development of the whole child.

• Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with curriculum and Archdiocesan standards.
• Foster a respectful, inclusive, and Christ‑centered classroom environment.
• Integrate Catholic values and teachings into instruction, classroom routines, and community life.
• Assess, record, and communicate student progress effectively with parents and guardians.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, instructional specialists, and administration to support student learning.
• Participate in school Masses, liturgies, service projects, and community events.
• Engage in professional development and contribute positively to the school’s mission and spirit.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (required).
• Valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate (or in process of obtaining).
• Safe Environment certification through the Archdiocese of Omaha (required before start date).
• Experience in elementary or early childhood instruction preferred.
• Familiarity with Catholic faith formation, including preparation for Sacraments, is a plus.
