Center Director
- Greets each child and parent in a warm and friendly manner.
- Read each individual child’s files in his/her class and is knowledgeable about their medical and developmental histories.
- Interacts frequently, affectionately, and respectfully by smiling, touching and holding children and encourages their involvement in activities.
- Provides a warm, safe and caring environment that is kept orderly, clean, and appealing.
- Assists in implementing daily activities (indoor and outdoor) as they relate to the curriculum.
- Responsible for the health, welfare and safety of the children. NEVER LEAVE CHILDREN UNSUPERVISED.
- Oversees all mealtime/snack time activities and related record keeping (Kid Reports, CACFP forms).
- Assists with toileting or diaper changes each child’s diaper every two hours, or more frequently as necessary.
- Enters meal/diaper/activity/photo updates into childcare app in a timely manner throughout the day.
- Maintains good communication with parents on a daily basis through verbal communication and childcare app.
- Works with other staff members to form a positive, supportive team atmosphere.
- Ensures confidentiality of privileged information.
- Maintains adherence to all Reed Family Early Learning Academy policies and procedures, and all state licensing regulations.
- Must work the days and hours to perform all assigned responsibilities and tasks, be punctual and timely in meeting all performance requirements, including but not limited to attendance standards and work deadlines.
- Perform additional program duties as assigned by the Lead Teacher, or management team according to center needs.
- Attends all Early Childhood staff meetings. (Exact meeting dates and times TBA).
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
:- Ability to effectively interact and relate to children in a developmentally appropriate manner.
- Must be sensitive to individual children’s differences and needs, and be willing to adjust the program and curriculum to meet those individual needs.
- Must be motivated to learn and grow in an educational environment; and be willing to continue and increase knowledge in the field of Early Childhood Education.
- Must be able to relate with and speak to parents in a respectful and courteous manner.
- Must be willing to work in a team environment; be willing to share ideas and be open to others’ ideas; be flexible and willing to compromise.
- Education and Experience
:- High school diploma required.
- Minimum 1500 hours of paid childcare experience required.
- Must be of good moral character.
