Spark Site Director Trainee
Position Type: Non‑Exempt Hourly, Full‑Time
Hours: Monday–Friday 6:15‑8:30 am, 3:30‑6:00 pm (Wednesday 2:00‑6:00 pm), plus flexible office time.
Start Pay: $20.00 /hour (based on experience)

As a member of the Spark team you will work in Millard elementary schools during the school year, with responsibilities including:
- Greeting families and children daily, maintaining welcoming and informative spaces
- Implementing and supervising planned activities and field trips for school‑day and non‑school‑day operations
- Managing site ratios and staff scheduling
- Communicating with families and colleagues, maintaining confidentiality, and upholding program policies and procedures
- Participating in activities with children in various weather conditions
- Sincere desire and interest in working with children
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Leadership skills to train and provide ongoing staff support
- Strong organizational skills for documentation, paperwork, payroll processes, and in‑service requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, related area, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of two years verifiable field experience working directly with children
- Meets requirements for Director Position outlined in DHHS Licensing Handbook
- Willing to complete 16 hours of annual training including CPR/First Aid Certification, Pediatric CPR and First Aid, and Prepare to Care trainings
- Ability to react and move quickly, indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions, and fully participate in activities with children
