About CSI

Our story begins in Omaha in 1892, when, due to epidemics, poverty and the difficulties of pioneer life, many children were left in need of parental care. CSI met the need in a revolutionary way – putting the well‑being of children first and working to be a voice for the voiceless. We seek to champion children and families by providing the mental, emotional and physical spaces they need to feel empowered and to thrive.

Child Saving Institute (CSI) is looking for someone who has a mind full of wonder and a heart‑filled desire to make a difference! We’re on a mission to champion what’s best for each child and family.

As a Youth Care Specialist, you’ll be an essential part of our team. Your responsibilities will include supervising and providing therapeutic support to children and youth ages 0–19 in a safe and structured environment. In short, our Youth Care Specialist will build trusting relationships, implement daily programming, and support each youth’s emotional and behavioral development in times of stability and crisis.

  • PURPOSE:

Every shift has the potential to positively impact a young life.
Here’s who we are looking for…

Someone who:

  • Has a positive and reliable work ethic
  • Holds experience working with children and families
  • Demonstrates sound judgment and crisis management skills
  • Builds effective, therapeutic relationships with youth
Qualifications

Do you think you’d be a good fit for this role? Ideally, you are:

  • 21 years of age or older
  • Experienced in human services, especially residential or youth‑focused work
  • Able to communicate clearly, remain calm under pressure, and manage youth behavior effectively
  • Knowledgeable about child development, trauma‑informed care, and group dynamics
  • A team player who is patient, flexible, and emotionally grounded
Bonus Points
  • Bachelor’s degree in human services or a related field
  • CPI training and certification
  • Experience working in a residential care or crisis setting
  • Bilingual abilities
What You’ll Get:
  • Medical, dental and vision insurance options
  • Paid vacation and sick accruals
  • 10 paid holidays per year
  • 401(k) matching up to 5% and fully vested right away
  • Referral Bonuses
  • Tuition reimbursement
  • Birthing (up to 6 weeks) & non‑birthing (up to 2 weeks) at full pay
  • The opportunity to be a part of a forward‑thinking culture!

Child Saving Institute (CSI) is committed to the full inclusion of all individuals and takes steps to ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodations.
