Position: YIELDS ANALYST

Overview

Business & Operations Analysis Omaha,Nebraska

Purpose & Scope:
The focus of this role is to work with the Operational side of the business unit in an analysis and reporting function. This person will be responsible for production yield related reporting and analysis at the JBS Omaha beef plant. This includes working with Fabrication and Slaughter leaders and associates, corporate business analysis team members, and business leadership to provide information and reports to enhance decision making and improve processes.

This role will report to the Revenue Improvement Manager at the JBS Corporate office in Greeley, Colorado.

Responsibilities
  • Take an active role in driving performance improvements,
  • Educate team members on our yield reports and work with the various teams to identify ways to improve performance,
  • Produce and or verify daily and weekly reporting on Plant performance,
  • Analyze and contribute to requests to develop new products,
  • Coordinate and participate in yield testing and analysis,
  • Provide assistance to production as needed
Working Conditions

Production Floor and General Office Environment

Qualifications
  • 1-3 years in a production environment, analyst role, an education or role deemed as qualifying experience, preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of beef cuts and beef production processes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and acute attention to detail
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel required
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and ask questions as needed
  • Experience in Agriculture and the Meat Business is preferred
  • Ability to work in a loud environment with slick floors and very hot or cold environments
  • Ability to work 50-55 hours per week with some Saturday work if necessary
  • Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time

  • Internal:
    Production, Business Analysis team, Corporate and Site Accounting, other business units
  • External:
    Limited, potentially - USDA, vendors, suppliers and customers
