OMNI Engineering, a CRH company, started its business in 1985 in Omaha, Nebraska. OMNI is involved in heavy highway construction as well as private and commercial site construction. Its primary business involves the manufacture and placement of asphalt for roads, city streets and parking lots. Currently, OMNI Engineering employs around 200 employees and remains a competitive force in the Omaha market.
Position OverviewThis position serves as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, providing front desk coverage along with general administrative and clerical support for the office.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)- Answer, screen, and route incoming calls.
- Provides a high level of customer service while welcoming and directing visitors. Monitor guest sign in/sign outs.
- Collect, sort and distribute incoming mail and packages; coordinate outgoing shipments, labels and pickups.
- Performs general clerical tasks including typing, proofreading, faxing, and preparing mailings.
- Monitor and order office supplies.
- Assist with planning company events, including coordinating meetings, lunches, and team gatherings.
- Process material purchase transactions for multiple vendors.
- Review and send approved invoices for payment.
- Digitize and organize documents in record retention database system.
- Assist with miscellaneous data entry.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be 18 years in age or older.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
- Reports to the office dressed appropriately and ready to begin work at the designated start time.
- Regular, on-time and consistent attendance is required.
- Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Proficient in Microsoft suite tools including Excel, Word and Outlook in addition to effective use of internet and email communication.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical skills such as addition, subtraction, and multiplication.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.
- Ability to work independently without constant supervision.
- Willingness to work independently within a team environment and assist with other duties as required.

- Regularly required to sit and use hands and fingers to manipulate/handle objects.
- Frequently required to reach with hands and arms, talk, hear and lift and/or move up to 10 lbs.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch, lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
- Able to communicate with others by telephone and in person.
- Able to utilize office equipment including a computer for word processing, email communication, and preparation of documents and presentations.
- May require sitting for extended periods of time.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
- The environment is typical of an office setting.
