Administrative Specialist (ASL Competent)

The Nebraska Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing is looking for a full‑time Administrative Specialist (ASL Competent) to join the Administrative Team. This position will assist the Commission’s accounting and budget functions, inventory management, and overall agency reception and inquiries. The ideal candidate is organized, positive, and dedicated to serving the deaf and hard of hearing community.
Base Pay Range: $20,000.00/yr – $20,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office, including answering and directing agency phone calls and greeting visitors.
- Perform office duties such as filing, scheduling, and working on various administrative projects.
- Collect, compile, and process data from computers, databases, accounting systems, and hearing aid bank applications.
- Collaborate with administrative teammates on financial duties, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Perform any additional duties assigned within scope of classification.
- Minimum one year of post‑high school coursework or experience in administration, office management, accounting, finance, or related fields.
- Occasional travel and reliable transportation (valid driver’s license).
- Knowledge of administrative support, office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe, and database management.
- American Sign Language Competent.*
