Position Title: Employee Retention Program Coordinator

FLSA Status: Hourly Non-Exempt

Reports To: Site Manager

Work Schedule: Varies by location

Travel Required: 0-10% (support help)

Supervises: No direct reports

Position Summary

This position leads PSSI's Employee Retention Program (ERP) in plants with fewer than 50 team members. Responsible for executing ERP policies for trainees and trainers, communicating ERP principles, and ensuring successful implementation in the plant. Applicants must be 18 years or older.

Essential Functions

Qualified individuals must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodations:

  • Guarding the Front Door – Hiring Selectivity: meet with workforce offices, cooperate with nonprofits, recommend paid advertising, and work with offsite recruitment to attract applicants.
  • Ensure screening requirements are completed and maintain recruitment/retention tracker: show applicants the New Applicant Video, conduct interviews, review work history, define job functions, and explain benefits.
  • Manage 24-Hour

    Experience:

    conduct initial orientation, complete paperwork, issue 30-day Challenge, introduce new hires to trainers, debrief, and follow up after 24 hours.
  • Qualification – "EARNING THE WHITE HAT": ensure consistent training using ERP Training cards and safety training within first 30 days.
  • Selection and Preparation of Trainers: coordinate with operations to designate trainers, ensure they wear lime green hats, use training cards, and maintain the New Hire/Trainer Whiteboard; conduct routine audits of trainer overlock.
  • Sustaining the Culture: schedule and attend weekly meetings with site management, new hires, and trainers; assist with ERP program improvements; conduct exit interviews, and manage PPE return and deductions.

Physical Requirements: Ability to wear PPE (Rain Gear).

Work Environment: Wet, hot, or cold environments; shift varies by location.
